Why.jpeg This article will explain why this feature is a benefit to your organization.

Create, share and track appointments and events for all your granting, research or claims management activities right from within your SmartSimple system. Having your calendars within SmartSimple eliminates the need to maintain several calendars in multiple programs, avoiding conflicts, duplication of events and missing important key dates that may not only impact you, but your entire community.

Personal Calendars

Every user has a personal calendar where you can add your own appointments, but it also links to other events and activities in all your SmartSimple applications. For example, if you use the Sales Tracking application and schedule a telephone call with a customer, it will be displayed on your calendar. If someone else schedules an event and associates you with the event, it will also appear on your calendar. Use color coding and other features to help keep track of meetings, events, appointments and calls.

Shared Calendars

Shared calendars are used to track activities not specifically associated with any single person. You can use these calendars to track activities such as training schedules, meeting room schedules, or statutory holidays. This is a great option for teams of people working together to know when colleagues are in meetings, when statutory holidays are and be informed instantly should a detail for an upcoming event change.

Multiple Calendars

You can manage multiple personal and shared calendars as needed; a great tool for administrators who need to track the schedules and activities of several groups of people, or individuals, at once.

Calendar Checks for Scheduling Conflicts

When enabled, this specific calendar feature alerts you to potential conflicts for anyone associated with a new event, and will trigger an alert to warn you of a conflict. You can still invite them, but you will know in advance they may be unable to attend.

Recurring Events in the SmartSimple Calendar

Schedule recurring meetings quickly and easily in SmartSimple. Regular weekly, bi-weekly or monthly events can be created, resources assigned and information such as dial-in codes noted for everyone in attendance.

Users can quickly and easily add a new attendee, change a meeting location, update a dial-in number or change the time of any recurring meeting in any SmartSimple calendar. This eliminates the need to completely recreate the recurring event any time some detail changes during a recurring event cycle. Simply select the recurring event, update the information and save.
