New Features For Everyone

Tasks and Events - Activities within SmartSimple have now been divided into two types - Tasks and Events. You will now have the ability to differentiate between things that you want to do and events that will or have taken place.

  • Tasks - When creating a task you will not need to specify a Start Date only a Due Date. Tasks will have a new field labeled Priority in which you will be able to specify A, B, or C and you will be able to set a Notification Alert flag in which you can choose to receive a reminder via Email or Quick Message.
  • Events - When creating an event you will need to specify a Start Date, End Date, Start Time and Duration. You will now be able to set a Notification Alert flag in which you can choose to receive a reminder via Email or Quick Message.

Moving through lists - You will now have to ability to scroll through your search results while looking at the details, not having to go back to your search list. For example, you can now run a search and find all of the contacts that you wanted to call. You then would select the first one to view their information, and without having to go back to the search results, move to the next person in the search!

If you cannot see either of these features be sure to get your SmartSimpleAdministrator to switch them on.

Enhancements to Existing Features

My Sales Activities and Sales Activities - The search pages under My Sales Activities and Sales Activities have been modified to reflect the changes made to activities within SmartSimple. Both search screens will now display a single list of activities that will include two new columns to indicate whether the activity is a task or event and if the activity is related to either an account or opportunity. This new view can be sorted by any column and be searched on by any criteria.

New Account and Contact Interface - We have made an improvement to both the view and edit screens for an Account and a Contact. The information is now organized into two columns to provide an advanced visual appearance and better use of your monitor's screen space. Look for more visual improvements in future releases!

New Features for Administrators

Email Tracker - With our new Email Tracker functionality SmartSimple moves into the realm of Web Analytics and Business Intelligence. Our Email Tracker works in conjunction with Email Broadcasts. Email Tracker provides you with the ability to embed tracked links and websites into your email broadcast. Using this functionality you can now send an email broadcast with a link to a website. You will then be able to track the recipients of the email and know if they clicked on the link that you provided in the email. In addition, if the website that was provided in the email contained the Email Tracker functionality you would be able to determine which pages of the site the email recipient had visited. This new feature can provide very useful information in determining if your marketing or sales campaigns are hitting the mark!

Multi-Language Support - We are currently in the process of adding multiple language support for the SmartSimple application. This new feature is already in beta and we have already translated several applications and areas within the system to support the following languages: English, Chinese (simplified and traditional), French (Canadian and Parisian), Japanese, German and Finnish. Currently, our multi-language support is only available in a beta or demonstration stage.

Training

Our Toronto classroom is fully operational and courses are scheduled between now and October, 2008.
