Course Overview
The SmartSimple System Administration course provides you with a basic knowledge on implementing the SmartSimple database and using its management tools. Throughout the course you will practice what you’re learning in multiple scenarios and lab exercises. Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Configure and use the SmartSimple database and management tools.
- Manage and troubleshoot SmartSimple and administer security.
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Establish user profiles and profile specific custom fields.
- Enable SmartSimple applications.
- Import user and contact data.
- Implement Internet contact signup pages.
Prerequisites
You should have the following:
- Familiarity with databases and business applications.

Audience
SmartSimple certification and product knowledge training gives participants the foundation knowledge they need to configure, support, and maintain the product in a live environment. The Universal Tracking Application workshop provides you with the configuration knowledge required to create tracking applications within the SmartSimple database. The Universal Tracking Application, generally referred to as the “UTA”, provides a powerful information gathering and tracking tool available within SmartSimple. This application can be used in a wide variety of ways within your organization. Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:

This workshop is designed to provide working administrators with an opportunity to review and discuss future usage plans with SmartSimple personnel.
Prerequisites
You must have attended the SmartSimple System Administration course in order to register for this course. In addition, you will need to have administrated an instance of SmartSimple for at least three months.

The course is only available to current SmartSimple database administrators who wish to learn in more depth about the database and advanced features.

- Troubleshoot an installed copy of SmartSimple.
- Use the SmartSimple SysAdmin Interface to update a copy of SmartSimple.
Prerequisites
You must have attended the SmartSimple System Administration course in order to register for this course.
In addition, you will need to have an excellent practical knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL and TCP/IP, and experience with some configuring hardware and software in a web server environment.

All SmartSimple courses are designed for a technical audience.
If you require curriculum to meet specific end user needs, current material can be modified by our staff to meet your needs.
There are a number of customization options available for end usertraining:
- Mixed Application Workbooks - Contain features for more than one product such as Applicant Tracking and Sales Tracking placement agency users.
- Technical and Non-Technical Workbooks- Contain customer specific modules to create hybrid workbooks that cover internal procedural issues and the associated software features.
- Special Features Workbooks - Contain limited number of modules for shorter sessions or just in time self-paced needs.
Additional Training Details
Pricing and Location
- Training is provided at our Toronto training centre, or at client location (provided client can supply computers – one per participant).
- Participant cost is $395 per training day. Private on-site group training is available for $1,000 per day for up to 10 participants.
- Payment must be received in advance of attendance and can be made by credit card using the SmartSimple website.
Booking and Confirmation
- Courses can be booked using the SmartSimple website or over the phone.
- Confirmations are sent by e-mail or fax.
- You must attend the entire course to receive a SmartSimple Course Completion Certificate.
Cancellation – Instructor Led Training
The cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellation notice of 3 (three) days is required to cancel a course without penalty.
- Cancellation notice of less than 3 (three) days will result in 50% of the course cost.
- Cancellation notice within 24 hours prior to the start of the course or non-attendance is 100% of the course cost.
- A credit note will be issued for a cancelled paid course.
Cancellation – On-Site Group Training
- Cancellation notice of 10 (ten) days is required to cancel a private course or classroom rental without penalty.
- Cancellation of less than 10 (ten) days will result in a 100% of the private training or classroom rental cost.
Substitution Students
- Substitutions of enrolled students in scheduled classes are permitted prior to the class start on the first day.
SmartSimple Obligations
- Our choice of instructor for any course is subject to change.
- Please note that we reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a course at our sole discretion, however, if any available substitute dates are not suitable to you, you shall receive a full refund.
