Setting a Billable Estimate without Assigning a Resource

You can also set a task billing rate without assigning a resource. This is a useful technique if you are using the team assign feature.

1. Locate the Server Testing task.

2. Set the Effort to 16 hours.

3. Set the Cost to 50 (cost estimated at $50.00 per hour).

4. Set the Target to 100 (billing estimated at $100.00 per hour).

5. Click the Save button.

The costs and billing are calculated without a resource assignment.

6. Repeat this process for the remaining tasks.

The billable project estimate is complete.
