Custom Field Type: Lookup – External Organization

General Description

User is able to look up external organization (company) and store the organization name.

Note: Only the name of the selected organization is stored. It is not linked to the underlying object.

Options listed below are specific to this particular field type.

• Lookup Category IDs - Search for external entities from specific categories by entering those categories' IDs in this field.
• Disable Lookup Button - The lookup button disappears. If toggled, any text entered into the box will automatically generate a list of matching Organizations, from which an entity can be selected.

Note

• This field stores the name of the selected contact only. It is not possible to refer to details of the selected contact such as address, userid, e-mail etc.
• This field can be used in conjunction with the External Organization Details field type.
