Access Roles are roles that are permissioned to access records associated with a particular template (for Level 1 records) or type (for Level 2 or Level 3 records) in a .

This permission is set on the template / type settings pages, by adding the roles to the "Access Roles" section of the settings page.

If roles are added to this setting, users not possessing these roles will not be able to access records of this type, and this template will not show on those users' UTA Search Panel.
