* If you connect to the Internet via a '''Proxy''' and the proxy requires authentication (i.e. a username and password) you will not be able to use the SmartSimple Outlook plug-in. The plug-in requires access to the Internet, but does not have access to the proxy authentication settings that are stored in your Internet browser (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox)

* Your company's network administrator may be able to add an exception to the proxy server to allow traffic to the SmartSimple server without authenticating to the proxy server.
