Using the Pin Board

The pin board is used to post general interest messages for everyone in the organisation to see.

1. To access the pin board, click Communications, Pin Board.

The pin board is displayed, currently blank.

2. To post a message click the New Post tab.

The Pin Board Post screen is displayed.

3. Type the body of your message.

4. Click the Save button to post your message.

5. Close this window to view your message.


A user can also make their Pin board public (read only to all other people) by publishing it through the Personal Settings.

1. Click the Configuration, Personal Settings menu.

2. Click the Settings, System tab.

3. Set the Public Pin Board option to Yes.

4. Click Save.


A user can also change the size of the notes fields within their Pin board.

1. Move the mouse cursor to the corner of the note that is to be resized.

2. Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard while moving the mouse cursor. This will allow the user to increase or decrease the size of the note as required.


A user can also modify the size and format of the text within the individual note on the Pin Board.

1. Use HTML tags within the Pin Board Post pop-up to re-size and format text after clicking the New Post tab.

2. To change text in an existing message then click on the Edit Post icon inside the Notes field to access the Pin Board Post pop-up.
