Global System Upgrades
The new features listed below are enhancements to the SmartSimple system and will be immediately available to SmartSimple users upon the application of the upgrade to your server:
Maximum Character Count on Multi-Line Text Fields
- A maximum number of words or characters can be imposed on a multiple-line text field, preventing a user from saving/submitting a record with text over a pre-defined limit. Users will be presented with a warning if the pre-defined text limit has been exceeded, which is personalizable. Text will not be truncated if pasted into the field from a third-party application, but word/character limit will still be enforced.
Additional Visibility Options on Company/Contact Custom Fields
- New ability to control which company categories and user roles global custom fields will be attributed to and visible for.
Enhanced Arcadia Interface
Following on the updates to the Arcadia interface introduced with our September 2014 upgrade, the ordering of Arcadia pages has been updated to enhance the usability of the interface.
- The left-hand menu options have been moved to the top of the page.
- The tabs have been grouped together for ease of navigation.
On-Demand System Upgrades
The following features are also available immediately with the application of the upgrade, but must first be enabled by a System Administrator:
Multiple Aliases per Copy of SmartSimple
- New functionality allows for the creation of virtual aliases. This feature allows clients to mask the instance URL through the Content Manager.
- For clients who use multiple portals for user logins, multiple URLs (example: grantee.smartsimple.com, administrator.smartsimple.com) can be set to bring users in different roles to the same copy of SmartSimple.
Multiple Sign-Up Pages per Company
- New feature allows for the creation of multiple signup pages per company.
- This can be used to support sign-up pages in different languages, which associate new users to the same company.
