Built-in reports in the Usage Statistics categorycategory show the amount of time individual users have spent logged into SmartSimple. This calculation of session time is performed using the following logic:

* When the user logs in , uses the system, and clicks the log out button when they are done - the session time between these two events is logged as their actual usagesession time.

* When the user logs in , uses the system, and either closes the browser , or navigates away from their SmartSimple session to a different website (no : * If Session TimeoutEnable Logout is set) - , the system automatically counts user will be prompted to confirm they want to log out, the session will terminate and their session end time as four hourswill be recorded accordingly.

When the user logs in and closes the browser or navigates away from their SmartSimple session to a different website (* If Session TimeoutEnable Logout is not set) - , the system calculates the session time as the actual usage plus length of time set in the session timeout timeSession Timeout setting. For example, if I am a user is logged in for four hours and close my closes their browserwithout clicking the log out button, with a session timeout of and the Session Timeout has been set to seven minuteshours, my the user's session time is four will be calculated as seven hours and seven minutes.

When the user logs in and closes the browser or navigates to another page ( ==See Also==* Enable Logout is set) - the session terminates and session time is their actual time.

When the user logs in and closes the browser or navigates to another page (* Enable LogoutSession Timeout is set with * enable warning message) - the user receives a pop up asking them to log in if they would like to continue using the system. If there is no response (the message is ignored for 30 seconds), the session is terminated and session time is calculated as actual usage.
