Although Transactions are normally only attached to contact records, they can be enabled within a UTA to allow them to be associated with Level 1 entities.

This feature is generally only used when a person’s activity, such as a certification or a degree, needs to be attributed back to a grant.

This can be enabled as follows:

  • On the UTA Settings Page, click on the General tab.
  • In the Application Settings section, select Enable Transactions - Add UTA transactions and attribute personal and organisation transactions
  • Save the page
  • A new tab, "Transactions," will appear. Switch to the Transactions tab and select the transaction types you wish to enable for this UTA

When viewing a Level 1 record a section will now appear with a Tab for each of the Transaction types you have enabled.

Restricting Transaction Types by Template

You can also restrict the types of transactions available for each Level 1 Template.

  • Within the UTA, click on the Settings tab.
  • On the main Settings page Click into the Level 1 Templates and select the relevant Level 1 template.
  • Click on the View Status tab.
  • In the Disabled Transaction Type section check the boxes next to the Transaction Types you wish to disable for the selected template.
