Assigning Indirect Resource Costs

You can assign indirect costs to a resource either through the associated “company”, or through an associated role.

  • Use the company indirect cost approach to assign costs that are “geographically” associated, such as insurance rates that are location specific.
  • Use the role indirect cost approach to assign costs that are role-based, such as insurance costs that are specific to types of people, such as married people.
  • You can combine both approaches to create accurate indirect cost rates.
