Q: How do I improve my search effectiveness?

A: Sometimes being too broad with your initial search may actually hinder your search effectiveness. This is true both in Resume and Text Resume searching.

Suggestions to optimise searching:

1. Avoid searching for 2 characters plus a wild card. E.g. En%. Instead, try lengthening your minimum number of characters E.g. Engin%

2. Avoid searching for just 3 common characters (like certifications) E.g. MSE, MBA Instead, try to pair the acronyms with other attributes you're looking for. In this case, being too broad with your criteria as an initial search is not recommended as the search engine may consider the characters as noise (especially upper case).
