Email communication is supported through a variety of features within the SmartSimple platform. These allow you to integrate emails under various circumstances ranging from sending ad-hoc email blasts, to targeted email reminders, to automated email notifications throughout your process flow, and even to receive and ingest email into your SmartSimple system.

Currently Supported Features

Feature Complexity Usage Description
General Email Settings Medium User Initiated
  • General system setup, and global settings ranging from email routing and SMTP relay, to security and permissions.
Email Broadcast Low User Initiated
  • Bulk email feature allows you to create email templates, and send ad-hoc to your contacts en masse. Similar to a mail merge.
  • Target recipients are added through the use of User filters.
Group Email Low User Initiated
  • Bulk email feature allows you to send email ad-hoc to a subset of users based on their association to other records, ranging from UTA records, to Organization records.
  • Target recipients are added through the use of many types of list views, e.g. you can use this to target the owners of UTA Level 1 records based upon any criteria that you wish to filter the UTA Level 1 list view.
Workflow Email Low System Automated
  • Automated background function, used to facilitate process automation. These emails are configured as Acknowledgement-type tasks within a Workflow, in order to trigger based upon dynamic conditions, as configured, and to target recipients dynamically, as configured.
Reminder and Follow-Up Email Low System Automated
  • Automated background function, used to send email reminders to activity owners, e.g. UTA Level 2 activities, at a specified number of days before or after the activity start and end dates.
Email Anything Low System Automated
  • Automated background function, provides a unique email address for each record within your SmartSimple system, used to save a copy of email messages and attach them to the targeted records.
  • Allows you to send an email to the unique email address of a record, and the system will receive this email and automatically create an email activity, associated to the record.
