SmartSimple uses the SHA-256 encryption for user passwordsalgorithm, combined with salt hashing. (See, for example, [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_%28cryptography%29 for a description of this cryptographic technique|salt]] hashing, in order to encrypt passwords.)
