Why.jpeg This article will explain why this feature is a benefit to your organization.

What is it?
iCalendar gives you the ability to share meeting requests, contact cards and tasks via email and and is supported by most mail programs (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.).

What is the benefit?
Not all organizations or individuals use the same tools to manage their calendars, schedule meetings or keep to-do lists. This can make completing simple tasks, like setting up meetings for review panels, complicated, as not all systems are compatible.

This new feature gives the system the ability to generate emails with meeting invites, tasks, Vcards (virtual business cards) using the standard iCalendar syntax. Workflows may be initiated from the creation and/or update of calendar events.

Users will now have the ability to automatically send emails from workflows initiated from the creation and/or update of calendar events. You can also create electronic business cards from contacts within the system.
